The designers sketches were realized by Russian craftsmen, who hand-painted the 50 centimeter dolls. “Every Matryoshka is unique and a piece of art in itself,” said Alyona Doletskaya, Russian Vogue’s editor-in-chief. “Installation, sculpture, objet d’art - you can call it however you wish.”
